#1 Umamusume Gold Ship Has Her Own Video Game!

Welcome back my weebs and otakus, it's Otakunofuji with a fun video today. Umamusume is all the rage these days, but did you know that the best horse girl Gold Ship has her own game? It's called Golshi's Grand Adventure 2 and it's a side scrolling endless runner ... thing that's totally awesome. Even better, it actually comes with an entire other full Umamusume party game as a bonus! What a deal!

So, really, what I'm talking about is Umamusume Pretty Derby Party Dash which is available on Steam and Nintendo Switch. If you're like me and are never ever, ever, freaking ever going to touch the gatcha Umamusume meme game everyone else is playing, this is our only option. The main game is a sort of party game where you play as teams of horse girls from mostly the first season of the anime and compete in a handful of different events. It's kinda fun. I might make a separate video for it at some point. Maybe. But today we're talking about Golshi's Grand Adventure 2.

Gold Ship's very own game is really just a piece of side content in Umamusume Party Dash. It is a retro inspired side scrolling endless runner where Gold Ship automatically runs along a course and shoots endless hordes of robots. And in between stages she says crazy unhinged Gold Ship stuff. It's very much like a Vampire Survivors bullet heaven game in that the attacks are all automatic and you get to choose new weapons or upgrade your existing weapons by picking up experience gems enemies drop.

It's totally simple, but it rocks. You can move Gold Ship around to change lanes, and jump over obstacles, and that's kinda it. She just shoots and you move around and collect gems. And it's awesome. Like a bullet heaven game, the weapon options you get are random so every run is different. You can also collect new equipment in each stage that are basically permanent upgrades. It's super addictive and fun and shockingly well put together despite being essentially a side show in another game.

The only bad part is that Golshi's Grand Adventure 2, or rather, Umamusume Pretty Derby Party Dash, is $45 normally. That's a lot of cash for a meme game. The Party Dash part of the game is pretty beefy and there's lots to do, and Golshi's Grand Adventure 2 is tons of fun, but $45 is still a lot. It does go on sale fairly regularly, though, and I bought it on Switch for $18, which I think is pretty much this game's sweet spot. If you're into Umamusume - I'd say having seen the first season of the anime at least is kind of essential - definitely give it a shot when it goes on sale.
