Battle Puzzle 2048 - Space Girls Is A Perfect $5 Game

Welcome back my weebs and otakus, it's Otakunofuji with another very brief look at a sorta lewd game. Today it's Battle Puzzle 2048 - Space Girls. It's the classic Threes copycat game 2048, but now with waifus! It changes up the core game a bit, too, so it isn't just the same thing with pretty anime faces and a confusing space theme slapped onto it. For just $5, it's actually kinda perfect.

Battle Puzzle 2048 is the classic 2048 gameplay where you slide numbers around and when the same numbers touch they add together. You start at 2 and, hopefully, end up as high as 2048 and beyond. It's super simple. Super addictive. And generally pretty fun. This game changes it up a bit by introducing a battle element to it. Now a waifu takes up a spot on the playing grid, which makes matching numbers ever so slightly harder, but each waifu also has a different ability that changes the game. 

The idea is that by adding up bigger numbers you deplete the waifu's health until it gets down to zero and you win the game. The waifus can fight back, though, with abilities such as downgrading tiles they're touching, deleting a random tile, or even constantly gaining health back, among other things. This makes Battle Puzzle 2048 more than just a standard game of 2048, and it's pretty fun. You have to actually strategize and think a bit to counter each waifu's different powers instead of mindlessly sliding tiles around like the normal game. I like it. 

The waifus are pretty solid as well. Not super fanservicey, really, but just good looking anime girls of all types. One aspect of the presentation I want to address is that the music is almost certainly A.I. generated. I say that because it sounds exactly like the tracks Suno pooped out a year ago when I wanted some filler background music and used "anime waifus" as the prompt. Not saying that's a good or bad thing, but it's just really obvious. The songs are pretty catchy and fun to listen to, not gonna lie, even if the lyrics are really, really dumb.

Overall, Battle Puzzle 2048 - Space Girls is a really solid and fun game. It's only $5 and has a super easy 1000 gamerscore on Xbox. It's one of those perfect combos of solid gameplay and features offered at the undeniably correct price. I had a good time with it and can recommend it if you like 2048 but wish there were waifus in it.
